Common questions

The questions we get asked most often, answered plainly.

Do you rebuild starters?

Yes. Starter rebuild support is one of our core services. A rebuild is a teardown and inspection with the worn parts replaced, covering the solenoid, brushes, starter drive, and bushings, for 6v, 12v, and 24v units. .

Do you rebuild alternators?

Yes. Most alternator failures come down to a handful of wear parts, so a rebuild covers the brushes, slip rings, rectifier, voltage regulator, and bearings, with the rotor and stator tested before reassembly. .

Can I bring in a unit for testing?

Yes. Testing is part of what we do. Bring the unit to 3511 Avenue A, Lubbock, TX 79404 during walk-in hours, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday is closed for regular hours, so call ahead of time.

What information should I include to get a quote?

Vehicle or equipment details, the part number or any label and casting numbers, and a short description of the problem. Photos of the unit and its label answer most remaining questions on their own.

Do you work on heavy-duty, farm, truck, oilfield, or industrial units?

Yes. Industrial, agricultural, trucking, oilfield, and transit equipment is the core of what we do, covering 6v, 12v, and 24v starters and alternators. .
